India - West Bengal: Villagers collecting water from a well in Pakka Line, one of the villages dotting the Mogulkata Tea Estate, in the Dooars region. The only tap water installed in the area serves 500 inhabitants and is constantly full of people, making it impossible to collect drinking water there. Workers are therefore forced to drink from open, smelly wells covered with dead leaves and dirt everytime it gets rainy or windy.
