Doda Cola, Jharkhand, India: Ten-year-old Fulmati Kumari works in the scenic mine of Doda Cola, a huge grey crater lost amid the tropical forests near Domchanch. Originally from the village of Jampur, this young girl comes here with her parents everyday, working from 9.30am to 4pm. "I don't like this job, it is very tough, but what can I do?" she says. "At least I can earn some money and help my family". A former 5th-standard-student, Fulmati dropped-out of school to help her family, a decision she regrets but cannot overturn. "I would like to go to school instead of being here, but I can't", she says.
