In the images, taken in July 2016, recently opened shops and businesses can be seen, following the Cuban goverment's decision to relax laws on new business in recent years. Small pizzerias - today a very popular food in Cuba - can be seen crowded, cafeterias can be seen offering meat rolls and even a Japanese store can be seen selling imported goods. Meanwhile, other pictures show citizens torn between new and old: as young Cuban residents play on iPads and iPhones, whilst others continue to follow a more traditional lifestyle.
